Finger style instrumentalist and singer/songwriter Kit Garoutte has been performing as a solo artist for, well, long enough to have aged like a fine wine, or a fine guitar. While his playing is influenced most recently by finger style and new acoustic guitarists such as Michael Hedges, Andy McKee, and Tommy Emmanuel, over the years his musical influences have ranged from Paul Simon, Crosby, Stills and Nash, and James Taylor to Jim Hall, Wes Montgomery, Earl Klugh and George Benson to Andres Segovia and Christopher Parkening.

You’ll hear these and many more influences flowing out in his masterful playing style that expresses a natural and irresistible soulfulness.

-September 21st, 2013 - 5:00 - 8:00

John Wayland Harr has been involved with music his entire life. He started on piano in his early elementary school years and then began learning the saxophone a few years later in the school band. However, it was during his junior high years that he began the instrument that he would fall in love with: the guitar. Today, John's performances incorporate acoustic and electric guitars, loop pedal, vocals, and occasionally keyboard. He plays a wide variety of music including jazz, classical, pop, Spanish, Brazilian, original, and other styles. It is his original music that captivates his audiences the most. Some of his most important influences include: Pat Metheny, John McLaughlin, Ralph Towner, and Michael Hedges.

Jim MacMillan Duo

-July 6th, 2013 - 6:00 - 9:00
-August 3rd, 2013 - 6:00 - 9:00

www.jimmacmillanmusic.com

Jim plays original compositions as well as a sprinkling of re-arrangements of unusual covers.
The style is a bit difficult to characterize but has been described as a mixture of folk, rock, jazz with a bit of Latin and Reggae mixed in.
Some describe it best as ?"Modern Folk", though Jim thinks of it as New Eclectic or Evolving Folk.

Jim MacMillan, Ryan McAlexander and Randy Bell announce the release of their new CD, Celilo, recorded live in February, 2013 at Big River Studios in Bingen, Washington with recording and mixing by Rick Hullet and Rod Krehbiel. The title song of the CD describes the history and disappearance of Celilo Falls, one of the Pacific Northwest's greatest natural wonders. The rest of the CD set includes an eclectic collection of sometimes political and inspirational “evolving folk” songs, composed by Jim MacMillan. There will be a release event for this CD on Saturday, May 25th from 7-10 PM at the Naked Winery Tasting Room in Hood River, Oregon.
Celilo will also be available soon on ITunes and CD Baby.
